PVG Kicks-Off 2024’s year of growth by announcing Nadeem Sheikh as Partner and several firm promotions

Purpose Venture Group (PVG) is excited to announce Nadeem Sheikh has joined the firm as a Partner. Nadeem brings over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of technology and sustainability as an executive, operator and advisor. Having played a leadership role in scaling and successfully exiting multiple ventures in the climate and technology spaces, he brings a unique depth of insight and execution orientation to our clients.

Before joining PVG, Nadeem oversaw Lyft’s plans to deploy electric autonomous vehicles and built one of the world’s first commercial autonomous vehicle services. Prior to Lyft, Nadeem spent seven years at Opower, a groundbreaking SaaS company serving utilities. Opower, now part of Oracle, has delivered 6+ TWh of energy savings and helps homeowners save $1B+ per year. Nadeem was a member of Opower’s exec team and launched and led Opower’s businesses in Asia and EMEA. Prior to Opower, Nadeem was a founding member of McKinsey’s Sustainability practice, where his client work focused on mobility electrification and residential energy efficiency while serving governments, principal investors, F500 companies and startups.

PVG is also excited to announce several other key appointments and promotions, demonstrating the firm’s continued investment in its team and capabilities and setting the foundation for PVG’s expected growth in 2024. 

  • Joining the Partnership of the firm is Diana Rhoten. Diana joined PVG in early 2023 and has brought her substantial organizational transformation expertise to our clients, including playing a leadership role in incubating Power Forward Communities. 
  • Matt Bevens and Augusta Gillespie Miller are promoted to Senior Vice Presidents. Matt and Augusta lead many of our engagements, serving as trusted advisors to PVG’s clients and its partners while also shaping PVG’s direction and mentoring the team.
  • Neel Gupta joins the firm’s leadership as Vice President. After years of delivering direction and support to our strategic finance clients, Neel will continue to deliver on those engagements, while taking on a leadership role within the team. 
  • Tammy Falco, Senior Manager, People and Operations. Since 2021, Tammy has supported and driven the firm’s operations and team building and will continue to play the critical role of scaling our infrastructure as we grow.
